Feeding your Babies

Feeding babies and kids healthy food is easier than you think!  Inspiring a toddler to eat, especially their veggies requires… well, inspiration!  As a Holistic Nutritionist I hope to provide information to help moms feed their babies delicious home made baby food and create enticing treats as the kids grow.

When it comes to introducing your baby to food, I believe firmly in careful food introduction.  Taking the time to introduce food at the right time can help prevent a life of food intolerances, sensitivities and even allergies.

And what about those toddlers?  Did you former good eater suddenly become a food fighter?  This is normal.  I plan to cover what’s normal and give you ideas on what to prepare for your kids, to explain when it’s okay to hide food (pureed veggies in tomato sauce – good!) and when it isn’t (pureed spinach in brownies – bad!).

Is there information that you are looking for?  Are you finding it difficult to figure out what to prepare for your baby?  I’d love to hear your challenges!  And I look forward to a future of blogging!

    Hey Laurie,

Question for you, can you do body cleanses when you are breastfeeding?

NO! That’s the short answer. The long answer… when you do a cleanse your body gets rid of toxins in all ways, including through your breastmilk. You can do lemon water in the morning (1/4 slice – 30 min. before eating) and add ground flax to your diet but that’s all.

Anita, I am not sure where you live in BC, but my very good friend & awesome nutritionist just moved to the Okanagan. Her website is: http://www.lisakilgour.com, if you are ever interested in seeing a nutritionist, I would highly recommend her…. but I am always happy to answer your questions too! 🙂 LkM
