Reviewed August 2009 – My favourite N.D. recommended this book to me and it is definitely ‘The Resource’ for Natural Baby Food.  It is a large book (560 pages!), and claims to have “Absolutely everything you should know about feeding your baby and toddler from starting solid foods to age three…”  It has over 350 recipes to look at and it also includes detailed information about pureeing, storing food, making food fun, etc.   It is the ideal reference if you are a vegetarian or vegan parent, as there are only 4 pages in the entire book that discuss meat.

What I Love! I love how this book covers everything!  Not just food, but high chairs, cutlery, the gamut!  My favourite take away from this book was the ‘Super Porridge’.  Thanks to this book I often grind up a mixture of grains and legumes and give it to my guy for a nutritious boost.  I also love how many recipes there are.  I will probably never make even 10% of what is in this book, but it definitely is a must-have for my shelf!

But…Keep in Mind… This is a big book and can be overwhelming, think of it as a reference, not the bible because you could never read this entire book cover-to-cover let alone follow every principle.   Remember to always take information, consider what works for you and tatke from that what you can.  Trust your instincts!
